He is sick…

I am hoping it’s the flu and he is not dope sick.   It is so sad that I can not assume that it is the flu.  He has been sleeping a lot.  I will keep you updated.  My gut tells me he is genuinely sick and he is not withdrawing but I just wish I could be sure. When will I ever trust what he tells me?  I can tell you one thing it won’t be any time soon, and I find that a really exhausting thought.

About madyson007

I am a mom of 4 who thought she was home free with her oldest son when he went off to college. My serious blunder? Genetics and being naive or maybe just plain stupid.

  1. If you see him taking his Suboxone and he is still sick then it would seem safe to assume he is not dope sick. Any reason to think he is out of his medication?

Either way, give him some TLC.

  2. Its very hard to know sometimes. Now that Keven is clean he’s admitting all the lies and horror stories of what I didn’t know about when he was using. I wanted to believe the best back then. I’m not saying your son is lying, I hope it doesn’t come across like that. I hope he feels better soon. I agree with Tom and TLC. I think it helps.

Tom is right, regardless he is sick and you can still love him and nurture him. The reasons will sort themselves out soon enough and you will know. I am keeping you both in my prayers.

I sure hope it is the flu but agree with the above. Just give him the TLC and you will find out soon enough. Every day is a challenge.
My daughters ex who she used with for over a year is now becoming nasty and telling me things about her. He tells me she was cutting herself after she came home from rehab and I should keep a close eye on her. I dont see any marks on her. What does he think I have been doing? Am I enabling again?
She is showing all good signs, going to IOP and going to meetings. She was even elected as secretary of one of them. Whom do I believe or do I believe either of them?
She has started exercising on a daily basis. Does not associate with any people she did before.
Who do we believe, no one? Will we ever trust again?

sorry. i think the chance he is using is much bigger than the chance he is sick.

staying in your room in the dark, being sick, those are not what kids who are doing suboxone correctly do.

suboxone, when taken correctly, allows you to function as a normal person.

    his behavior is not normal.

and when i have the flu, i am sick, but still function? you do too probably.

I can’t get on to your blog? Is it private? I understand if that is the case…I am just trying to figure it out? Same thing with Madison’s Blog…can’t get on that one either.

  6. Syd says:

I’m sorry that the trust has been broken. But actions speak louder than words when it comes to trust. I can believe the actions but words are meaningless.

  7. Renee C. says:

I need to start a blog but I thank you for this one. Did you ask him? My daughter said if I relapse you will know and I will tell you if you ask. Maybe she is in a different place than your son since she went to rehab voluntarily and actually placed herself there and asked for help.
I will pray for your family!
